Cordele Police investigating shooting death of 19-year-old

CORDELE, GA (WALB) -

The Cordele Police Department is on the lookout for a gunman who killed a 19-year-old man early this morning.

Police responded to a report of a shooting victim at Crisp Regional Hospital on Sunday around 1:30 a.m.

19-year-old Carnell Saintville was brought in by a private vehicle and taken to the emergency room where he passed away.

Officials say that the shooting occurred on the 1000 block of South 15th Street.

Investigators from the Cordele Police Department and The Georgia Bureau of Investigation are currently interviewing potential witnesses and following leads.

"The public's help is instrumental in helping us solve these types of crimes mainly, especially homicide," said Officer Andrew Roufs.

There has been no arrest at this time and the Police Department would like anyone who may have information about the shooting to contact them at (229) 276-2921.
