American Legion Post 30 honors 9-11 victims

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

The American Legion Post 30 has been busy placing more than 300 flags outside of the Albany Mall to honor those who have given the ultimate sacrifice. Some placed crosses on the flags in honor of fallen soldiers from Dougherty County. 

"It symbolizes the determination and the resilience of the United States against those who tried to bring us here down," said Paul Maurry, a war veteran.

A ceremony to commemorate the terrorist attacks of 9-11 will be held on Friday, September 11th at the Albany mall.
