ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The pastor of First Free Will Baptist Church of Albany says he is troubled by people's bashing on and terrorizing police officers, so the church will host Law Enforcement Appreciation Day September 20th.
They are inviting all law enforcement officers to come to their worship service. The officers will be recognized and served a special lunch.
"It troubles me that our police officers risk their life for us. And they are underpaid and yet they are shown very little appreciation. And we just want to do our part," said Pastor Billy Hanna.
The Law Enforcement Appreciation Day service will be September 20 at 10 a.m. at First Free Will Baptist Church in Albany.
