VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) -

The man who stole nearly $1200 from a Valdosta Wendy's Thursday night was still on the loose Friday morning.

Valdosta police released a surveillance photo Friday morning of the suspect and of the white Jeep Grand Cherokee they believe he got away in.

According to a press release from the police department Friday morning, the man ran into the Wendy's on N. Ashley St. around 9:30 p.m. Thursday, pointed a gun at the employee behind the counter and demanded money.

According to the incident report, the suspect got away with $1,198. Police believe that there may have been a getaway driver in the Jeep Grand Cherokee that the suspect is believed to have fled in after the robbery.

Police said there were customers inside at the time, but no one was hurt.
