VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) - Valdosta Police have a sixteen year old juvenile in custody, and are looking for his accomplice, after a stolen car chase ended in a crash late Wednesday night in Valdosta.
Just before 11:00, a 20 year old Kelly Proffitt ran to a neighbor's house and called 911 to tell authorities that she had been robbed by two young men as she drove up in her driveway in the 100 block of East Mary Street.
Proffitt said they had a pistol, and demanded her money and the keys to her 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe, which she gave them.
The two took off, but were soon seen by VPD officers, who tried to stop the driver near East Magnolia and North Forrest Street. He took off, and wrecked the car, and the two ran, but one was caught and arrested by VPD and Lowndes County deputies.
