AMERICUS, GA (WALB) -

An Americus native competing on a national competition show will compete in the final round.

Jeffrey Lewis of the Craig Lewis Band is moving on to the final round of America's Got Talent.
Tonight his family members held a viewing party to watch the big news.
Lewis's mother and brother say they are so proud of him.

"It's awesome,” said Martha Johnson, Jeffrey’s Mother. “I can just tell you we are all excited in Americus, Ga because this is our own."

"I think that for the platform itself that allows him to be able to showcase their talent again to the world, so that they know what we already know that these guys are pretty special young men,” said Michael Lewis, Jeffrey’s Brother.

The Final Round will air on September 16th on WALB NBC.
