CAIRO, GA (WALB) -

As Grady County deputies and Cairo Police officers were serving outstanding arrest warrants just after midnight Wednesday morning, they ended up making new Meth arrests as well.

The officers went to Old Egg Road to arrest Cary Brandon Smith, who had been on the run from law enforcement since about March, for Meth.

Smith fled the area when Law Enforcement arrived. Several Methamphetamine labs were collected and disposed of that day with the assistance of Decatur County Narcotics Investigators and Clan Lab Investigators.

Officers smelled a strong chemical odor of Methamphetamines. The people inside tried to run off, but were quickly caught.

Capt. Steve Clark of the Grady County Sheriff's Office said that Grady County deputies were assisted by Decatur Co. Narcotics Investigators, along with Region 15  GBI Investigators from Sylvester. They found methamphetamine and components used in the manufacture of methamphetamine during the search. Several Firearms were also recovered.

Cary Brandon Smith, 30, lives on D&G Lane, and is charged with Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of components used in the manufacture of Methamphetamine, Manufacturing Methamphetamine, Unlawful possession of pseudoephedrine, Possession of firearm during the commission of a crime, possession of a firearm by convicted felon, all felonies.

Yalanda Denetra Mills, 32, who lives on Old Egg Road, faces the same charges.

Miazia Kyan Bodiford, 17, who lives at the same house, faces all the same charges, minus the possession of firearm by a convicted felon.
