THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) -

Thomasville High vs. Cairo High ended in a no contest after lightning canceled the second attempt at playing this weekend.

The Friday night game was postponed to Saturday afternoon once lightning would not permit play.

The two teams came back out to Veterans Memorial Stadium Saturday afternoon, and after Cairo got out to an early 26-0 lead with 4:40 left in the first half, lightning canceled the game again.

Under GHSA rules the game will be considered a no contest because the teams did not finish the first half.
