THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) -

Despite the dissipation of Tropical Storm Erika, OneBlood Blood Donation Centers in Thomasville, Douglas, Marianna and Tallahassee are extending their hours to help with storm relief.

Remnants of Erika are still being tracked to make landfall on Florida's Panhandle which could still cause heavy rain and flooding in certain areas.

OneBlood says that the most critical time for blood donations are prior to any storm or hurricane in order to sustain the blood supply during and immediately after the event.

OneBlood encourages all eligible donors to visit a donor center or Big Red Bus as soon as possible.

The extended hours for OneBlood Blood centers located in Tallahassee, Marianna, Thomasville and Douglas are:

Saturday    12 p.m. - 2 p.m.

Sunday      12 p.m. - 5 p.m.
