ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Lamar Reese Magnet school is getting into books in a big way today, with a reading kick off celebration.

Media Specialist Pamela Roshio has spearheaded an Accelerated Reader celebration program to encourage the students to get excited about reading for the 2015 -2016 school year.

The faculty and staff of Lamar Reese will show off their excitement for books, programs and media technology associated with the media center.

Everyone will put on their best and most creative and animated talents to entertain the students and guests.

The Albany High school cheerleaders, drum line, and chorus will also be on hand to encourage the students to read One Million words or more.
