VPD hunts shotgun-toting robber

VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) -

The Valdosta Police Department is looking for a man who robbed several people last night, using a shotgun to terrify them.

About 9:30 Wednesday night, Valdosta Police Officers were dispatched to the 500 block of Jones Street on a robbery call.

Officers met with several victims who said they were standing around outside when someone wearing a mask and carrying a shotgun, ran up to them.

They said he told everyone get on the ground, and hand over their money.

He took off running with an unknown amount of money, and no one was injured.

The investigation into the robbery continues.

Anyone with information regarding the robbery, is asked to call the Valdosta Police Department at 229-293-3145 or the Tip Line at 229-293-3091.
