LEE CO., GA (WALB) -

A Lee County man deals with challenges most of us can't understand, but that doesn't keep him from being a dedicated worker who puts smiles on people's faces all over the community. A surprise gift from his employers put a big smile on his face and the video of it has gone viral.

It was Christmas in August for 23 year-old Dominick Cole, who is Autistic and was surprised by his employers at Griffin Lumber and Hardware with this brand new red bike.

"He was excited,” said Rick Watson, Manager at Griffin Lumber and Hardware. “He loved it."

"He thinks it's his car,” said Will Carter, Dominick’s Grandfather.

It's a bike that Cole rides up and down these streets in Leesburg to visit everyone in the community.

"He is one of the most beautiful young man that you want to see and everybody down here in Lee County they love him to death,” said Carter.

"There's not a person in Leesburg that doesn't know him,” said Watson.

Watson hired Dominick about three months ago through a partnership with Easter Seales. Cole helps out with Cleaning Stocking and other duties. Watson says he's impressed.

"He's actually got good working skills,” said Watson.

"Just like he getting up early going to work, that's the first place he goes, down to Griffin,” said Carter.

Other businesses in Leesburg like J & E's Country Restaurant, Hardee's and Flash Foods also show their support for Dominick.

"The restaurants they feed him, take care of him, stores I mean it's just a community thing,” said Watson.

"The Police officers down here they love him to death,” said Carter. “He gets in the car and rides with them."

Watson's video of Dominick's new bike went viral on Facebook with more than 20 thousand views.

"That right there goes to show the love that everybody's got for Dominick,” said Watson.

Dominick's Grandarents are appreciative of the love.

"It makes me feel so good,” said Carter. “Because I know everybody down here loves him. They know the way he are and they look after him."

Employees at Griffin Lumber and Hardware say they've got another surprise for Dominick this weekend. You can find a link to Dominick’s surprise video by clicking here.
