ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Albany's City Manager says she is thrilled to have a new downtown Manager.
Sharon Subadan announced she hired the city's Department of Community and Economic Development director for the position.
Latoya Cutts beat out 60 applicants for the position.
Sharon Subadan says Cutts brings a wealth of experience, has close ties to the community, is enthusiastic, and has great ideas.
"She's an accomplished professional," said Sharon Subadan, Albany City Manager. "I'm thrilled to have her on my team. She has a track record of excellent work and great work ethic. She's enthusiastic. She's going to be a great asset to the city of Albany, so I' really thrilled to have her."
Cutts will start September 7th.
Subadan says Cutts will spend her first 30 days hearing ideas from the community and making sure that plans already in progress come to fruition.
