ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The Georgia Bureau of Investigation confirmed a Police Department officer was in custody in connection to credit card fraud.
Agents arrested Theotis Gervin, an officer with the Dougherty County School System Police Department, and charged him with financial transaction credit card fraud and violation of oath of office.
The GBI said the case involved the unauthorized use of a food stamps card.
Gervin was suspended without pay.
Records show Gervin has been an officer with DCSS for more than 10 years.
