ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The Albany Fire Department is investigating the third arson fire in the last 24 hours in the Johnson Road vicinity of Albany.
Monday afternoon at 4:30, AFD went to the 2500 block of Marianne Street, where multiple fires had been set inside the home that the resident was moving from. Some of his property was still there.
They say the back window of the house was broken out, and the perpetrator set multiple fires to disguise his burglary. This is the same thing that happened in previous burglaries.
AFD is asking anyone who may have seen a red or maroon van in that area, or the park nearby, to call Crimestoppers at 436-TIPS, and leave information.
You could earn a reward following an arrest and a conviction in these cases.
