ALBANY, GA (WALB) - A tracking system led authorities to a home they said a suspected car thief was burglarizing while wearing only boxer shorts.
Surveillance video showed 30-year-old Brian Vititoe at Rose's on East Oglethorpe Boulevard in Albany about 10 a.m. Sunday.
The Florida man asked for clothes as payment for cleaning the parking lot, even though store officials did not ask him to do any work.
Police said Vititoe then stole a 2014 Chevrolet Tahoe.
Onstar located it behind Linda and David West's home on Haven Road in Mitchell County.
Deputies then interrupted a burglary and caught Vititoe behind an old school building on Highway 311.
"He had on only boxer shorts. His clothes were recovered, one shirt at the residence and a pair of pants were recovered at the area where he was at," said Investigator Robert Rumble.
Vititoe was taken to the Mitchell County Jail and charged with burglary and theft by receiving.
More charges are pending in Dougherty County.
