VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) - A Valdosta car dealership was looking to hire a few more people as of Monday in anticipation of being busier with the dealership having expanded.
Monday was Prince Automotive's first day in its new 34,000 sqft. dealership and service center on N. Valdosta Rd. It's almost double the size of the old dealership.
Vice President Jay Prince said the expansion created 10 new jobs and a few of the positions were still available as of Monday.
"We were staffing up for the move prior to moving over and we've already hired seven of the ten so far. But, we're still looking for a few more people and we hope the growth will come with the new facility so we'll need those extra people," Prince pointed out.
He said the new dealership will make business better for both employees and customers.
"Everything with the new building was designed with efficiency in mind and productivity. From an air conditioned service department for the technicians to the parts department," said Prince. "Not only is it larger...it's also more functional."
Continued Prince, "All of our sales people are equipped with iPads. So, we're trying to make that whole sales process more transparent to the consumer."
