Hundreds come to hear President Jimmy Carter teach Sunday School

PLAINS, GA (WALB) -

It's not everyday there's a line to get inside church, but on Sunday it was a crowded inside Maranatha Baptist Church in Plains.

Folks couldn't wait to hear President Jimmy Carter speak.

During today's lesson he focused on Love.

One woman said she was amazed at how well the former president is handling the news of his Cancer.

That was pretty inspirational, that he's taking it so very. You know he has the faith that everything will turn out,” says Lois Daughters from Roswell.

Carter is scheduled to teach Sunday School next week as well. This past week he spoke at a press conference in Atlanta about his diagnosis and treatment.
