VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) - A 13 year-old boy was accused as of Friday of breaking into the Phone Shack on N. Ashley St. in Valdosta twice this week, both times around two o'clock in the morning.
Police say the teen was inside the store when officers responded Thursday morning. He ran, but officers chased him and caught him a few blocks away.
"[Detectives] found evidence that the juvenile was the same person that committed the burglary on the 17th and during the investigation they also recovered items that had been stolen during the August 17th burglary," said Valdosta Police Department Lt. Kari Williams.
As of Friday afternoon, the teen was being held in a regional youth detention center and faced two counts of burglary.
