AMERICUS, GA (WALB) - Students are hitting the books again at Georgia Southwestern State University. Students moved back into on-campus housing Saturday, and classes started today.
School leaders are expecting a bump in enrollment. Students and faculty are equally excited.
"First day of classes was today. Class has been really well. Professors are excited--just a good positive vibe on campus," said student Adam Levandoski.
"First day of class, always a lot of excitement. We had some construction going on well on campus so there's kind of a new look in certain places," said University Relations Director Stephen Snyder.
The school unveiled a new coffee shop and renovations to the fine arts center today as well.
