Bloomers Floral Design makes burlap buddies for peanut festival

SYLVESTER, GA (WALB) -

Bloomers Floral Design made this year's winning "burlap buddy" for Sylvester's Annual Peanut Festival.

The Chamber of Commerce wants to cover the city with the buddies by October.

Bloomer's design for this unique door ornament beat out two other businesses.

You can get your burlap buddy at Bloomers or the chamber of commerce.

The festival is October the 16th.

“We want everyone to know the peanut festival is up and coming and that we love our peanuts in Sylvester and Worth County. Agriculture is a big part of our community, that's why we have the festival, we have also been know as the peanut capital of the world,” says Karen Rackley, with the Sylvester-Worth County Chamber of Commerce.

This is the 52nd year for the peanut festival.

They chamber is also selling t-shirts.
