GRADY COUNTY, GA (WALB) -

A judge will form a committee to look over a lawsuit filed by a group of disgruntled Grady Electric Membership Corporation members.

The plaintiffs are looking for information to prove allegations of misuse of the corporation's funds and labor.

The defendants include the Grady EMC board of directors and its former and current general managers.

They asked the court to appoint a litigation review committee to help them determine whether EMC should make changes and whether they should try to get the case dismissed.

“I think it is in the best interest of this litigation to appoint a litigation committee at this time to set certain parameters for them,” said Judge Loring Gray.

Judge Gray gave the defendants and plaintiffs 48 hours to suggest potential members of the review committee, which he hopes to have in place by next week.
