Albany woman charged with phone theft

DOUGHERTY CO., GA (WALB) -

 An Albany woman is charged with theft after our story on the crime.
 28-year old Christina Horne surrendered to Dougherty County Police after we showed you this video last week.
 Police say Tanyla Jones left her cell phone on the counter at the Westover Boulevard McDonald's on August 7th,  and Horne took it.
Investigators warn you to guard your valuables.

Lt. Chad Kirkpatrick said "Keep them close to you.  Keep them on your person.  Because as we know now a days you lay them down and leave them, people will take them."
 Horne returned Jones' phone when she confessed, and the phone was returned to the owner.
