VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) -

Police are searching for a man they believe is responsible for the shooting death of a man in the 1700 block of Ricardo Street.

Investigators have warrants for Timothy Jerome Wiggins, 25, of Valdosta.

He is wanted for the homicide of 25-year-old Anthony Barber, who was found with several gunshot wounds in the back yard of a home before 11 a.m. Monday.

"He had multiple gunshot wounds to his torso area," said Valdosta Police Department Lt. Kari Williams.

Police said they found the body after prospective tenants of the house were there, looking at it to rent.

Officers said Wiggins is considered armed and dangerous.
