TIFTON, GA (WALB) - A man accused of showing up drunk to a court-ordered Mother's Against Drunk Driving class was arrested and taken directly to jail from the meeting.
The south Georgia MADD chapter leader Gary Robinson told Tifton Police that Charles Gibbs, 41, was intoxicated when he signed up for the class Saturday.
According to the incident report, Gibbs blew a .135 after officers measured his blood alcohol concentration.
Gibbs was arrested and taken to the Tift County Jail.
He is now charged with public intoxication.
Robinson said Gibbs was ordered to attend the meeting after being charged with driving under the influence in Colquitt county.
