TIFT CO., GA (WALB) - Tift County leaders hope a new industrial park will bring more jobs.
Crews are clearing this land and pond to build a 100-thousand square foot warehouse off Oakridge Church Road that could expand to 200-thousand square feet.
County Commissioner Chairman Grady Thompson says Tift County is growing... and several industries are looking for space there.
"The Tift County Development Authority does not have a building that we own that we can lease or sale to anybody that comes to town," said Grady Thompson, Tift County Commission Chairman. "We don't have anything. They are all full, got somebody in them. We expect after we get this built, six months we'll have somebody in there."
Thompson hopes to have someone in the $3 million dollar facility by next spring.
