BBQ store burglarized

Surveillance video caught a break in at Michael's BBQ on Gillionville Road in Albany Thursday night.

The teen pried open the back door of the restaurant with a crowbar then rifled cash drawers while an alarm sounded.

The burglar ran out in about 40 seconds empty-handed, but the owner says he did about $300 in damage.

Owner Jim Tippins posted this video on Facebook asking people to identify the crook, but he urges the teen to confess. "I can understand you make a mistake, if you make restitution I'll come testify for you.  But first you got to come forward and speak to me."

If you recognize him, you're asked to call CRIMESTOPPERS at 436-TIPS.
