TIFTON, GA (WALB) - More students are attending ABAC to earn 4-year degrees.
The Tifton college is seeing a 33%t increase in the number of students in bachelor'ss programs compared to last year.
Just 41-students enrolled when the school first started offering 4-year programs in 2008.
Now more than 1,300 are pursuing bachelor' degrees. Some say they like the hands-on opportunities they get at ABAC.
"Through internships as well as different speakers that we have come in to different clubs and organizations I've got to network and meet those key individuals that are really important to me when it comes to a job. That I can go to them and they know me and they know how hard I work and allows me to get jobs and know those key people," Brittney Gunter said.
The school is also seeing an increase in freshmen this year. 882 enrolled this fall,10 more than last year.
