ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Georgia State Patrol confirmed three people were injured in a six car crash that happened near the intersection of Gillionville Road and Lockett Station Road late Thursday afternoon.
The crash happened around 5:45 p.m.
It was one of three crashes that happened in the Albany area within a two hour period.
According to a report, a red Chevrolet Trailblazer, driven by 52-year-old John Harris, rear-ended a Honda which was stopped at a red light.
The collision caused a chain-reaction crash involving a Pontiac G6, a Mercedes SUV, a Ford F-150, and a light blue Ford sedan.
Officials said three people were injured, but only two of them, 45-year-old Valerie Williams and 30-year-old Lashala Robinson were taken to the hospital for treatment.
There was no immediate word on their condition.
Harris was cited for driving too fast for conditions and for following too close.
