DOUGLAS, GA (WALB) - Investigators say they have arrested a former pharmacist was forging prescriptions and filling them herself.
The Douglas-Coffee Drug Unit and the Georgia Drugs and Narcotics Agency arrested 46-year-old Dana Amber Daughtry of Claxton. She turned herself in to authorities Monday.
She is charged with fraudulently obtaining controlled substances.
One week earlier, drug agents discovered Daughtry, a former pharmacist at Harvey's Pharmacy, had forged prescriptions for controlled substances and filled them for herself in Douglas.
She was fired from her job at the pharmacy before she turned herself in.
