ALBANY, GA (WALB) - People who live in a neighborhood on the west side of town are eager to start a neighborhood watch program after burglars hit a nearby home.
Fallon Stubbs told police someone broke into her home at 2015 Juniper Drive through her back door and pried open her bedroom door.
The thief got away with her laptop. Neighbors say it's important to protect their homes now.
"We've got the pole light over there. The doors are locked, deadbolts are on. The alarm system I have and of course those are just a few things, and we going to get a camera around this place," said neighbor Elza Horton.
Horton said she hopes to start the watch group soon with the help of neighbors.
