Albany police needs help identifying man accused of attacking prevention officer

ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Albany police needs help identifying and locating a man who is accused of attacking a prevention officer.

Police say the suspect is accused of assaulting the prevention officer while trying to steal from the Albany Mall Friday around 2 p.m.

The officer received a bloody nose, and the incident happened at the Belk's store.

The man is expected to be charged with battery, theft by shoplifting, and cruelty to a child.
