WALB viewers help track down purse snatcher

MOULTRIE, GA (WALB) -

Tips from WALB viewers help Moultrie Police arrest an Alabama man for stealing a purse out of a woman's car.

53-year old David Young was arrested one day after Moultrie Police released surveillance video of the crime that happened last weekend at a convenience store on south Main Street.
The video that aired last night at 11 shows the suspect opening the door, taking the purse and then getting into his own car.


“When we have video surveillance and the cameras are placed in a strategic place, to show faces all around the business not just at the front door or inside, in this example it was on the side of the business where there is parking area,” says Investigator David Jones,with Moultrie P.D.

Young will be charged with entering auto.
