ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Art lovers got a chance to enjoy and buy some art this evening.

The Georgia Artist Guild of Albany held the "Sizzling Summer Art Show" at the Albany Area Arts Council this evening.
The show features more than 60 pieces of artwork including sculptures, painting and jewelry by 17 different artists.
Each piece is more than three years old.

"What happens when you're an artist you kind of collect work of your own and then it gets to be too old to enter in competitions because there are requirements that things be newer, so this gives them a way to show work that's been sitting or hasn't been shown in town and the opportunity to try to sell some of it,” said Nicole Williams, Executive Director of the Albany Area Arts Council.

The artwork will be displayed in the Albany Area Arts Council through August 28th.
