LEE CO., GA (WALB) -

Some Lee County students met with their new teachers this evening before school starts.

Lee County Primary and Kinchafoonee Primary Schools held their Open House this evening.

Their students will now have a new lunch option called Offer verses Serve.

"Students can have a choice, there's five items they have to have,” said Debbie Devane, Lee County Primary School Principal. “If they don't want them all they don't have to get them all and we'll be teaching them about that tomorrow as they go through the lunch line. With vegetables, fruit and their grains, proteins, juice and milk. So that there's not so much waste we're going to teach them that they can have choices."

School officials at Lee County Primary say they are excited for the new school year, which begins Friday.
