A Thomas Co. grand jury has indicted Jamey Wolford in the murder of James Eric Poppell, 31.
Deputies found Poppell shot to death at the Azalea Trailer Park, on North Pinetree Blvd. in April.
Wolford, 33, said he argued with with Poppell, on the front steps of a residence, and that Poppell charged him.
Wolford said he shot the unarmed Poppell with a .40 caliber handgun.
The Grand Jury returned True Bill of Indictments against Wolford for Felony Murder, AggravatedAssault, and Voluntary Manslaughter.
Bench Warrants were issued for his arrest, and Wolford turned himself into authorities at noon today, and is being held at the ThomasCounty Jail.
Bond for Wolford has been denied.
