BAINBRIDGE, GA (WALB) -

Kids in Bainbridge will head back to school next week and Public Safety officers want to provide them with the supplies they need to succeed.

Officers said many families have trouble buying new clothes and school supplies for their kids.

That's why they began a school supply drop off at the department headquarters.

The donated items will be given to kids at the Friendship House of Jesus.

“It'll be a great encouragement for them to know that people care and want to supply their needs,” said Friendship House Executive Director Jimmy Adamson.

You can drop off school supplies at Bainbridge Public Safety through the end of this month.
