It's National Night Out at Radium Sp. Middle School

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

The end of summer is here for kids in Dougherty County. First responders are helping end it with a bang.

kids can receive all sorts of school supplies at tonight's 10th Annual event.

Local agencies like Dougherty County Police, EMS, Albany police have been working since 8:30AM to put the event together.

Kids not only receive things like school supplies tonight. They also get to join in on a fun time.

Bounce houses and other fun activities are things kids can enjoy. This year, more agencies, including the GBI and GSP, are taking part.

"It shows unity, it shows the community that we are one and we're here for them. We're not here just to put you in jail or any kind of issues we want Albany to understand that law enforcement is here for them," said Tamiko Whitlock of Dougherty County Police.

The event concludes at 8:00PM.
