ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The search for an Albany Downtown manager is close to wrapping up.
City Manager Sharon Subadan says they've narrowed it down to three finalists after phone interviews on Friday.
The Assistant Downtown Manager says they're looking for an experienced manager with a strong background in economic development.
"Well we just want to show that we have someone who has been able to swing deals to bring businesses downtown that we may not have been able to lure in the past," said John Howard, Assistant Downtown Manager.
Interim Downtown Manager Sharlene Cannon's last day was Friday.
The city had to start the process over after making a job offer in May then rescinding it after conducting a more detailed background check on the finalist.
