ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Today, County Commissioners approved spending more than $28,000 to buy cameras for six new patrol cars.
Chief Cynthia Battle says having cameras in all patrol cars will provide documentation of every call officers make.
"Whenever we have complaints about anything, if we are able to go back or do either video. Sometimes we don't get the video itself but we do have the audio. Depending on which way the vehicle is facing."
Chief Battle says the county police force has approximately 25 patrol units.
