ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Ahead of state games, 150 bowlers came out for the Strikers Classic Masters Invitational Friday afternoon.
The event is hosted by the Recreation and Parks Department.
Albany Police officers handed out awards, but Friday's goal was to make sure everyone had fun.
"Law enforcement officers are some of the biggest supporters and fundraisers for Special Olympics Georgia, and so athletes it means a lot to them to get their awards handing to them by a law enforcement officer," said Kristin Caso with Recreation and Parks.
The state bowling tournament kicks off in just a few weeks in Warner Robins.
