SYLVESTER, GA (WALB) - Kids in Sylvester will have a new way to beat the heat beginning Saturday.
The city's new splash park will open in the morning. Each element represents a piece of Sylvester.
Families and city leaders are excited for it to open.
"Because it's like really hot outside sometimes and there's not a lot of water places around here, so we can have fun here," said 8-year-old Hannah Forbeck.
"We wanted to give the kids something to go back to school with," said Larry Johnson, City Councilman. "So what a great thing to give them to go back to school with.
The Splash Park will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. each day.
