Law enforcers said McDaniel drove erratically through people's yards, in and out of mobile home parks, and around ponds.
"We were thinking he was looking for a place to bail out, but with the help of Moultrie P.D. we had several units in the area so every time he turned there was a patrol car there," Britt said.
Lt. Randy Stephens got directly behind McDaniel at the intersection of Highway 133 and Hopewell Church Rd.
"The whole time I'm advising units to try and parallel, try to throw stop sticks down stop sticks on him," Stephens recalled.
One citizen even tried to block the suspect, but ended up getting in the way.
Stephens later laid down spikes, which caught McDaniel's left front tire.
Then Deputy Britt executed a pit maneuve rto end the chase on Jerusalem Church Rd.
McDaniel faces several charges including probation violation, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm.
