Dougherty County Police seek school supply donations

DOUGHERTY CO., GA (WALB) - Dougherty County Police are asking the community for donations to help send students back to school next week with school supplies.

Dougherty County Police are collecting donations for the annual National Night Out.  All emergency response agencies in Dougherty County will together host this year's National Night out , where people get a chance to  interact with first responders. The agencies will also give school supplies to kids in need.

Dougherty County Police Lt. Chad Kirkpatrick said "I know we are going to have at least one thousand bags of school supplies.  There is going to be another local church there that will be providing school supplies as well."

National Night Out will be August 4th from 5 to 8 PM at Radium Springs Middle School.  Dougherty County Police are asking people to help them provide school supplies.
