Parents of Bainbridge High School students are relieved to see traffic lights up on Highway 84.
On Wednesday, the Georgia Department of Transportation made the lights fully operational.
Parents and the Decatur County School Board fought for the signal after several wrecks in front of the school.
Winde Farrington said her 16-year old daughter is set to get her license Thursday, and she's glad to see the improvements."We've had lots of wrecks, and we are looking forward to this light," said Farrington. "We're hoping that it will help this traffic situation."
The DOT encourages drivers to be aware of the new signal and slow down in the area.
