ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

A Dawson Pastor is helping some Terrell County storm victims.

Interim Pastor Ben D'Amico at Calvary Baptist Church in Dawson took up a collection at his church on Sunday and gave a Harvey's Grocery Card to Larry Odom and his wife.
A storm Wednesday destroyed their home and the couple has been sleeping in a car on the property.

“I'm getting a lot of phone calls, so it seems that help is coming in for them,” said Ben D’Amico, Interim Pastor at Calvary Baptist Church. “I'm really glad to see that. They are a humble sweet couple and I want to help them. If you see the devastation out there you would want to help them."

The Odoms say they're grateful for all the help and prayers.
They gave D'Amico a bible verse written on cardboard that wasn't destroyed in the storm.
The pastor says the family could really use an R-V or a camper and that donations can be dropped off at his church located at 674 W. Lee Street Dawson, Ga.

Ben DAmico can be contacted at 460-3301.
