BAINBRIDGE, GA (WALB) - A Decatur County Superior Court judge denies Fiat Chrysler's motion for a new, trial but ordered to lower the amount of money the company must pay a grieving family.
The parents of 4-year-old Remington Walden sued after he was killed in a fiery crash in 2012.
In April, Jurors blamed Chrysler for faulty design of a Jeep Grand Cherokee and imposed $150 million in damages.
The company appealed, claiming the jury acted from "passion" or "prejudice."
The judge denied that motion, but ordered to reduce the damages to $40 million.
