MOULTRIE, GA (WALB) - The new CCHS Security System is one of a kind, and uses key cards.
"It's one of the only one in the country where teachers can use their card," said Asst. Principal Todd Hall.
It's one of the largest High schools south of Macon. "We just take pride in everything that we do and being the largest is just another thing we're proud of," Hall said.
And it certainly makes Colquitt County students proud to say "Go Pack, Go!"
Today was the first tour of the new Colquitt County High School Building. "We just want to have a chance for our community because our community is our tax base and our taxpayers. We want to make sure they have a chance to see our new and wonderful facilities," said Principal Stephanie Terrell.
Students are actually excited to start school in the new high school. Each building will feature a computer lab. The library aims to have 10 books per student, but this student is excited about the clocks.
"So I'll know if I'll be on time or not and I won't be late to class," said Senior Christy Crosby.
Which is pretty helpful since students will have to move quickly through the four story building. Believe it or not they like the thought of the workout. "We'll be fit and have plenty of exercise," said Crosby.
Although these students giving the tour are the first to know how to maneuver through the new school.
"I'll know where my classes are before school start and then I can help my friends," said Crosby.
Other students will be able to attend an open house the day before school starts. The open house will be Sunday August 9th, before classes begin the next morning.
