ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Officer-involved shootings were one of the priorities at the District Attorneys Association of Georgia meeting last week.
Outgoing Association President Greg Edwards, the Dougherty D. A., said the prosecutors wanted to make sure that public trust was maintained during investigations of officer-involved shootings, and the best way was full disclosure of facts.
"Best practice is to make as much available, much information available as possible from the onset. And I would anticipate in those instances that will be the tack we will be following," said Edwards.
The District Attorneys Association of Georgia said they wanted to make a uniform policy to be followed in officer-involved shooting cases.
