Multiple coaches joined the podium and spoke on the football programs
Lee County is a small school compared to regional opponents
TIFT CO., GA (WALB) -
The Tift Regional Health system had its annual Kickoff to men's health at the Tift Regional Community center yesterday morning.
Coaches from across South Georgia joined together and talked expectations for their squads gearing up for the 2015 season.
Lee County High School has seen a great turnaround under head coach Dean Fabrizio. He is entering his 7th year in the program and expects continued success.
Last off-season his Trojans we promoted to 6-A Region 1.
He joked about some of the struggles of now being the smallest school in the top class of Georgia football when he met with fellow coaches for a lunch event.
"Here comes the coaches all in their dealer cars one after the other I was the only one who drove my own vehicle who doesn't have a dealer car. And then right before we get started a helicopter comes down and lands in the parking lot and out steps Rush Propst (Colquitt Co. coach)."
Lee County won't have to worry about facing Propst and his Packers until October. The Trojans open the season against Monroe August 14.
